10/12 Tuesday. Class 12

Hello!
Today some students were absent because of your English exam. Come on! I´m sure you´ll do it well.

Today we´ve chosen a song for our Christmas Day - "Santa Claus is coming to town"and some Christmas symbols that you´re going to talk about next class.
Once again - the info should be simple and not long, with some photos or pictures.

We´ve watched today a short movie "Kung Fu Panda. Holiday", you can watch it again if you want. We did some exercises after watching the movie and learnt some words (to host, fancy stuff, awesome, How cool!, ladle, let smb. down etc.)

What other Christmas films do you know? Which ones can you recommend?

Your homework is to prepare Christmas info and learn the song!

03/12 Tuesday. Class 11

Hello! How´re you?
Hey, only two students have written a film review! The rest, don´t forget to write itfor the next class, you´ve got the last chance!

Today we´ve done some writing practice and learnt some techniques in writing reviews.

We´ve also revised past participle of the verbs and played a "football game". Pay attention to the pronunciation! Here´s a video with some most common verbs "The Pronunciation of Irregular Verbs".

Today you´ve practised Present Perfect with the expression - Have you ever ...?
Remember that when we give the details of our past experience we use Past Simple:
Have you ever ridden a camel? - Yes, I have.
Where did you ride it? When did you do it? Who did you travel with? ect.

We´ve listened to a song by U2 "I still haven´t found what I´m looking for" with a lot of examples of Present Perfect. Your task is to finish filling in the gaps, here´s the link. What do you think the song is about?

On Tuesday 17th we´re having a Christmas class, so you have to prepare some information about Christmas symbols. Here´s a couple of links - Link 1 and Link 2.
Choose two symbols each with pictures and short info in English.

As for a song I´m offering "Santa Claus is coming to town" (rock version). If there´s a Christmas song you specially like you could offer it.
